- August 27
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). Until Jesus came, sin separated people from God and produced spiritual death. His coming wasn’t an afterthought, but part of God's redemptive plan for humanity from the beginning.
- August 25
“O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved! How long shall your iniquitous and grossly offensive thoughts lodge within you?” (Jeremiah 4:14, AMPC). God’s appeal begins with the heart; before our outward conduct can truly change, our hearts must first be cleansed. He calls His people to deal with the source of their actions—their inner thoughts, desires, and motives.

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:1, 2). The scope of Christ’s provision is universal. His saving work is sufficient for everyone, regardless of who they are or what they’ve done.

“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]” (Romans 12:2, AMPC). The phrase “external, superficial customs” emphasizes that many cultural influences focus on outward appearances rather than godly character. As Christians, we’re called to live by God's standards rather than by society's changing opinions.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). The “spirit of fear” refers to being controlled by timidity or shrinking back from doing what we know is right. Instead, God provides us with strength, love, and sound judgment.
- August 21
“Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” (Proverbs 4:5-7). Wisdom is one of life’s greatest treasures and should be pursued with determination. Biblical wisdom involves more than knowledge; it’s the ability to apply God's principles in everyday decisions.

“And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me” (1 Corinthians 11:24, 25). Jesus instituted this observance to help us remember the significance of His sacrificial death and the love it demonstrated. We practically apply this by taking time to reflect on His sacrifice with gratitude, allowing that appreciation to strengthen our faith and motivate us to live in harmony with his teachings.

“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love” (Galatians 5:6). Outward religious rituals or status don’t determine a person’s standing before God. What truly matters is faith that is demonstrated through love.
- August 18
“We love him, because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19). Our love for God is a response to His love for us. He took the initiative by showing His love before we ever sought Him.
- August 17
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 54:17). This is a powerful reminder that God is the ultimate protector of those who serve Him. The reference to “every tongue” highlights that harmful accusations, criticism, or false judgments can be overcome through God's justice and truth.

“Pues Dios nos salvó y nos llamó a una vida santa, no por nuestras propias obras, sino por su propia determinación y gracia. Nos concedió este favor en Cristo Jesús antes del comienzo del tiempo” (2 Timoteo 1:9, NVI).
Dios tanto nos amó que nos salvó del pecado y la muerte, incluso cuando no lo merecíamos. Él nos extendió su gracia en la forma de su propio hijo, quien nos ofrece la vida que tiene. Creyendo en él y lo que hizo por nosotros no solo transforma radicalmente nuestras vidas aquí en la tierra, pero nos da vida eterna en los cielos.

“Por lo cual, salid de en medio de ellos, y apartaos, dice el Señor. Y no toquéis lo inmundo; y yo os recibiré. Y seré para vosotros por Padre, y vosotros me seréis hijos e hijas, dice el Señor Todopoderoso” (2 Corintios 6:17, 18).
Como hijos de Dios, hemos sido ordenados a vivir en un mundo espiritualmente impuro sin llegar a tocar o infectar nuestra forma de pensar. Viviendo de acuerdo a la palabra de Dios, nos separa del resto del mundo.

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:17, 18).
As children of God, we are commanded to live in a spiritually unclean world without allowing it to touch us by infecting our way of thinking. Living according to the word of God separates us from the rest of the world.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:17, 21).
Religion may say that we’re all sinners, but when we get born again, we receive a new spirit and we’re no longer sinners. Christ in us makes us holy and sinless, and he makes us as righteous as himself.

“De modo que si alguno está en Cristo, nueva criatura es; las cosas viejas pasaron; he aquí todas cosas hechas nuevas. Al que no conoció pecado, por nosotros lo hizo pecado, para que nosotros fuésemos hechos justicia de Dios en él” (2 Corintios 5:17, 21).
Religión puede decir que todos somos pecadores, pero cuando renacemos, recibimos un nuevo espíritu. Cristo en nosotros nos hace santos y sin pecados, y nos hace justos como él.

“Porque sabemos que si nuestra morada terrestre, este tabernáculo, se deshiciere, tenemos de Dios un edificio, una casa no hecha de manos, eterna en los cielos. Y por esto también gemimos, deseando ser revestidos de aquella nuestra habitación celestial” (2 Corintios 5:1,2).
Somos seres espirituales y poseemos un alma y viviendo en un cuerpo físico. Como creyentes renacidos, cuando dejamos atrás nuestros cuerpos físicos, nuestros espíritus van directamente a nuestro hogar eterno para estar con Dios.

“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:1, 6, 8).
We are spiritual beings possessing a soul and living in a physical body. As born-again believers, when we leave our physical bodies behind, our spirits go directly to our eternal home to be with Christ.

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13).
There is a connection between what we think about and what we say. When we meditate long enough on the word of God, we verbally confess our beliefs to others. Letting the word sink down into our hearts strengthens our faith.

“Pero teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, conforme a lo que está escrito; Creí, por lo cual hablé.” Nosotros también creemos, por lo cual también hablamos (2 Corintios 4:13).
Hay una conexión entre lo que pensamos y lo que decimos. Cuando meditamos lo suficiente en la palabra de Dios, confesamos verbalmente nuestras creencias a otros. Permitiendo que la palabra se deposite en nuestros corazones.
