“Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth” (2 Timothy 2:15, AMPC). Spiritual clarity comes from diligent study and accurate handling of Scripture, and spiritual integrity comes through disciplined learning and truthfulness. We must therefore practice excellence in both scriptural knowledge and application.

“So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you” (1 Peter 5:6, 7, MSG). The world teaches us to push our own agenda in a “dog-eat-dog” environment, but God tells us differently. He encourages humility and trust, reminding us that His timing for promotion is perfect.
- January 15
“Don’t work yourself into the spotlight; don’t push your way into the place of prominence. It’s better to be promoted to a place of honor than face humiliation by being demoted” (Proverbs 25:6, 7, MSG). Self-promotion often leads to embarrassment; there’s a lot to be said for humility and patience. True honor comes when we allow God (and others) to elevate us in His timing, not ours.

“He will even deliver the one [for whom you intercede] who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands” (Job 22:30, AMPC). Everything God does is motivated by His love for us; He’s therefore more than willing to deliver even the ungodly and dispatch the Holy Spirit to begin changing them on the inside. This is one of the things intercessory prayers can do.

“Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church]” (Ephesians 1:21, 22, AMPC). Christ has absolute supremacy over every form of power and title, both now and forever. As believers who are already seated at the right hand of the Father, we share that same authority.
- January 12
“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). Believers have a spiritual position of authority and unity with Christ. Because of His finished works, we can live with confidence, knowing we share in His victory and reign with Him.

“The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him” (John 4:28-30). The testimony of one outcast Samaritan woman who came face-to-face with God sparked curiosity and led others to seek Him for themselves. Encountering Jesus transforms our priorities and compels us to share the good news.

“And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand” (Genesis 39:1-3). Even in unfavorable circumstances, God’s presence brings favor and success. Supernatural blessings are evident to others when we remain faithful; this was true for Joseph and it’s true for us as well.
- January 9
“Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another” (Psalm 75:5-7). True elevation doesn’t come from human effort or connections but from God’s sovereign decision. God reminds us to remain humble, knowing He alone determines our position and timing.

“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:1-3). God’s call often requires leaving the familiar to step into His greater purpose. His promises not only bless us personally but position us to be a blessing to others.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… In him was life; and the life was the light of men… That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world” (John 1:1, 4, 9).
God offers us the light of His Word to guide us through life. However, most people won’t be able to recognize this light because they’re spiritually blind; they therefore continue to stumble along in the dark.

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).
We live in a spiritually dark world. This is why so many people reject Christ and His message of love and grace; those who choose to continue living in darkness will simply be overcome by His brilliant light.

“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens” (2 Corinthians 5:1).
We are not our bodies; we’re spirits possessing souls and living in physical bodies. Our earthly house, or tabernacle, is our physical body; when we leave it, a tabernacle that God made awaits us.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away” (Revelation 21:4).
Earthly life as we know it is not all there is. What God has planned for us when our physical bodies die is not only immortal bodies, but heavenly life filled with infinite peace and joy beyond anything we could ever imagine.
April 17
“What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever. But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!... For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever…” (1 Corinthians 15:50-52, NLT).
When our lives here on earth are done, we’re destined to enter into an eternal kingdom. Jesus has conquered death and the grave; believers can look forward to living in heaven with Him.
April 16
“Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death” (Hebrews 2:14, NLT).
God loves us so much that He became human and came to earth to defeat the enemy and strip him of his power. This was so that we could live with Him forever in heaven.
April 15
“May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ” (2 Thessalonians 3:5, NLT).
God loves expressing Himself through us, His people. He gave us the Holy Spirit, who brings us progressive revelation of His love and teaches the godly trait of patience.
April 14
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).
Believers live in a fearful world, but we don’t share the same spirit as others. What we’ve received from God makes us stand out as different.

“He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross” (Colossians 2:14, NLT).
Sin-consciousness forces us to constantly look at our sins and shortcomings, which causes guilt and shame that God never wanted us to carry. Jesus went to the cross to clear our record and dismiss all charges against us; this allows us to stand before God as if we’d never sinned.
